  • Summersville Dam

    This is a video of my own self playing my own tune, the name of which is called "Summersville Dam." It is named after a dam in the state of West Virgina. The first part of this tune used to be part of an older tune, which had some other stuff in it that I don't remember.

    I hope you enjoy it.

    Incidentally, the building of the Summersville Dam involved the evacuation and flooding of the town of Gad, WV; but the Corps of Engineers decided not to name their structure "Gad Dam."

  • “You at Sunset” by Maria Moss

    Maria Moss is a fingerpickin’ guitarist and, as I recently learned, a very talented songwriter. Maria plays with Jon Hogan and his Brighter Day Stringband. The two of them seem to do a lot of touring as a dynamic duo, while the rest of the Brighter Day chills in Austin.

    At their last gig here, they played Maria’s song “You at Sunset.” I fell in love with it and asked Maria if I could play it. Then I played it.
